GIBSON TAKES 4TH AT SUPER D

0 Comments 01 June 2010

The Oregon Super D series kicked off this weekend in Hood River for a weekend of riding along with a street festival full of music, pump tracks and beer at Double Mountain Brewery. Nick Gibson in his first pro super d race had a great run that tied him for 4th place overall. Other Vigilantes Chris Sautter and Dylan VanWeelden came in a few minutes back, okay, quite a few minutes back:) Dylan had a nice encounter with a four wheeler on the trail, actually ran square into her and flipped right over her quad and managed to walk away with not even get a scratch.

After the racing Double Mountain Brewery had everyone over for the awards ceremony. Double Mountain pulled out all the stops with providing free beer and food for the racers. They had the street closed with some great music, Lone Madrone, and a full pump track course from the northwest school of freeride. It madeĀ  for a great afternoon of cycling bliss.
